After annoying the locals for a bit, us Americans reboarded the buses and took a twisting, turning ride through Umbria to the Titignano castle, where we enjoyed a seven-course lunch with the castle's self-produced wines. Some of the foods we had were: priscutto, mushroom & liver brushetta, risotto with asparagus, brocolli rabe, wild mountain deer, pasta with boar meat, chicken, potatoes, salad, clementines, tiramisu, biscotti, espresso, dessert wine - i'm forgetting some! It was quite a feast to remember.
So anyway, classes started today. I had painting on paper this morning, which is going to be pretty intense, but i should come out of it with a lot of great work. I'm also thankful that Italian started today, so I can begin to look a little less like a fool to the people who live in this country!
Ciao!
